Canon's IXUS 1000 HS (or PowerShot SD4500 IS as it's known in North America) claimed the title of the World's slimmest super-zoom camera when launched. It packs a 10x optical zoom, 3in widescreen display and 10 Megapixel CMOS sensor into a body measuring just 22mm thick. The CMOS sensor allows Full HD 1080p video recording and fairly quick continuous shooting, while the sensible resolution and clever burst composite mode attempt to keep noise levels under control.
