Sony 1/2-inch 12.40MP BSI CMOS sensor, IMX226CQJ, features a new 1.85um pixel with very wide optical acceptance angle, in comparison with the older 2.8um pixel IMX136:
"These characteristics are extremely important for security camera which often opens lens diaphragm during night-time shooting" (see Axis Communications' paper at IISW'2013).
The new sensor is quite fast at 40fps at full resolution or 60fps in 4K mode:
